I am also a single mother of two little angels:)! Two boy's one two and one who will be three on Dec.9th.I struggle all year but the holidays are bad.My youngest turned 2 on oct 11th and my oldest turns 3 on dec 9th then Christmas is just around the corner.I am lucky enough to have family who buy things for my boy's on Christmas. But I am instilling in my boy's the true meaning of Christmas "Jesus"! And that Christmas isn't just about what new things we get but what we give back and give to God.Growing up we never got christmas we always gived. Most of the time it wasn't money or material things.........we spread the holiday cheer by caroling, working at local sheltors, visiting elderly in nursing homes etc, etc. And I can't afford to buy things for my boy's either but I know they will not go without:)!Christmas isn't about recieving but about giving.Everyone should stop and remember that.My boy's are more happy giving to others than they are opening a bunch of presents. You don't have to have money or presents to give. Most of the time if you just set and listen or talk that means more than anything to some people because they don't have anything or any family:)!Single moms are so focused on what can I get for free that they don't stop to realize everything they do have.A home, family, food, water, electri city etc, etc!Instead of posting on here to see what you can get for free....thank God for what you do have please! And if you still feel like you need presents you can go to like Salvation Army or something like that. And if you don't meet there financial restrictions than you really don't need the help. This year thank God for what you do have instead of asking for more.
Remember God and the true meaning of Christmas this year Autumn Scott
